FIL President is the legal representative of the foundation and he is responsible for relationship with organizations, institutions, public and private companies and other organizations, in order to establish relations in terms of cooperation and support to FIL initiatives. The President is in office for two years and he cannot be re-elected. At the end of his office, he remains a member of the Steering Committee for the next two years as Past-President.

The FIL President for the two-year period 2020-2021 is Dr. Andrés J.M. Ferreri, Vice Director of the Onco-Hematology Medicine Unit and Director of he Lymphoma Unit at the IRCCS Istituto Scientifico San Raffaele in Milano.
