The techniques of diagnostic imaging<\/strong> are a<\/span><\/span>n<\/span><\/span>\u00a0essential part of the diagnosis,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>evaluation during treatment, evaluation\u00a0<\/span><\/span>at the end of therapy and follow-up of lymphomas.
\n<\/span><\/span>This Commission includes<\/span><\/span>\u00a0ra<\/span><\/span>diologists, nuclear physicians and\u00a0<\/span><\/span>medical physicists\u00a0<\/span><\/span>and is<\/span><\/span>\u00a0an important\u00a0<\/span><\/span>technical\u00a0<\/span><\/span>support<\/span><\/span>\u00a0to other FIL Commissions<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The objectives<\/strong> of Imaging and radioimmunotherapy Commission<\/strong> are:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Implement research projects based on the use of conventional imaging techniques (CT) or functional (PET) to improve the management of patients with lymphoma;\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Contribute to the drafting and proposing guidelines for the implementation and interpretation of PET scans in clinical trials and in clinical practice;\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Contribute to the drafting and proposing guidelines for the implementation and interpretation of CT scans in the clinical studies and in clinical practice;\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Propose the use of diagnostic techniques with less exposure to ionizing radiation and \/ or with a lower economic cost\u00a0especially for the follow-up of lymphomas;\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Propose in agreement with the long-term survivors Commission,\u00a0\u00a0guidelines on instrumental tests to be used during the follow-up of lymphomas;\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Propose an active, safe, cheap and reliable way to connect and share\u00a0images\u00a0and provide a group of expert reviewers who will be in charge of interpreting the diagnostic images for individual clinical trials involving the central review of the investigation of conventional\u00a0or\u00a0functional imaging\u00a0(PET and\u00a0CT);\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. Collaborate with the Italian Association of Nuclear Medicine (AIMN), through the bodies which it identified for this purpose, so proceed to the qualification and standardization of PET centers for the latter’s participation in clinical trials;\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  8. Cooperate with all committees and in particular the Committee on Radiation for use of such tools based on the WEB, for review of care plans radiotherapy, in clinical trials;\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  9. Collaborate with the Italian Association for Nuclear Medicine (AIMN), through the bodies which it identified for this purpose, so proceed to the dissemination of the techniques of\u00a0radioimmunoconjugates\u00a0therapy nationwide;\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  10. Develop and support clinical studies\u00a0including\u00a0radioimmunotherapy,\u00a0in\u00a0cooperation with other FIL Commissions.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
