It approves new proposals or projects of trial and \/ or research evaluated by the Scientific Commissions. Also, it provides for the administration and management of the Foundation, with economy, effectiveness and efficiency\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">criteri<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">a<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. Within the Committee, members of FIL Presidency and the managers for each Scientific Commission are appointed.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The Steering Committee is composed of 15 members (including the President-in-office and the Past President) plus some experts who can be co-opted (up to a maximum of 5) and that become integral part of the above-mentioned body for the entire period in which it remains in charge.
