Choosing to leave a charitable gift to Fondazione Italiana Linfomi is easier than you might think.
Your wishes will be respected, your assets will go to the people you care about most, and your legacy will help save the lives of many patients.
A charitable bequest is a choice anyone can make, regardless of their financial situation. Leaving a gift in your will is always a meaningful act.
It is a way to stand with us—not only today, but also in the future.
Remember the good you can still do: with your legacy, you support lymphoma research and help build a future where a diagnosis is no longer something to fear.
A will can be written at any time.
It may be either holographic (handwritten by the testator) or public (drawn up by a notary in the presence of witnesses).
It can always be modified, revoked, or replaced, and it only takes effect upon the opening of the succession.
Your legacy gift in support of FIL research
A legacy gift to the Italian Lymphoma Foundation can take different forms.
In your will, you are free to decide which assets to allocate to research.
What You Can Leave to Fondazione Italiana Linfomi
- A sum of money, securities, shares, or investment funds
- Movable assets such as works of art, jewelry, or furnishings
- Real estate, such as an apartment, land, or a building
- Your entire estate, by designating the Foundation as universal heir of all movable and immovable assets
- A life insurance policy naming “Fondazione Italiana Linfomi” as beneficiary

Anna ha scelto di sostenere la ricerca sui linfomi anche “dopo di sé”. Un atto di coraggio, lucidità e speranza che oggi continua a fare la differenza.
«Mia moglie Anna ha deciso di rivolgersi a un notaio per fare testamento, appena ricevuta la diagnosi di linfoma. Pur avendo piena fiducia nei medici e nel percorso di cura che l’attendeva, ha voluto precisare le sue volontà.
Ed è così che, fin da subito, ha deciso che i suoi gioielli sarebbero stati messi all’asta e il ricavato sarebbe stato destinato alla ricerca oncologica e a quella sui linfomi promossa dalla FIL.
Sicuramente nel suo animo c’è sempre stata la ferma fiducia nel superare questa grande sfida che la vita le ha posto davanti, ma ciò non le ha impedito di pensare al dopo di lei e gliene sono grato, perché quando la malattia ha avuto il sopravvento, il mio compito, da marito informato sulle sue volontà, è stato quello di concretizzare quello che lei aveva deciso, portando così a compimento i suoi desideri.
L’asta c’è stata, i gioielli sono stati venduti e il ricavato è stato destinato alla ricerca, come aveva richiesto Anna.
Sapere che questa è stata una sua scelta lucida e consapevole, presa anni prima che la malattia avesse la meglio, mi ha donato serenità. E mi ha dato, ancora una volta, l’opportunità di fare qualcosa per lei.»

Yes. Italian law establishes a portion of the estate reserved for legal heirs: the spouse (or civil partner), children, or, in the absence of children, parents. This portion is known as the “reserved share” (legittima).

Yes, by learning more about the activities of Fondazione Italiana Linfomi on the website fondazioneitalianalinfomi.it. In the absence of specific instructions, FIL will allocate the funds where the need is greatest.
Yes, a will can be modified or revoked at any time, and as often as the testator wishes.
No, a will remains valid unless it is revoked or replaced by a more recent will.
A will is considered invalid if it lacks a signature or date; if it is not entirely handwritten by the testator (in the case of a holographic will); if beneficiaries are indicated in a vague or unidentifiable way; or if it contains unlawful provisions.
If there are no relatives up to the sixth degree and no will has been made, the estate will be transferred to the State.
